Teachers' views on student dropouts: Are students failing themselves?
On May 10, 2007, I held a meeting consisting of faculty within the teaching profession and fellow interns to discuss dropout students and dropout rates. The following document explores four areas of my inquiry that was issued to panel members and served as the focus of discussion at the meeting. This was my first attempt at hosting and conducting a professional meeting regarding a topic that is pertinent to all teachers. I gained further insight on the dropout rate issue from attendees and recognized practices that will assist in my own teaching practices.
